Expenses associated with a hospital stay can be burdensome if money is tight and you are not prepared. Hospital Cash Benefits, from The Hartford, can help you worry less. This coverage pays a lump-sum benefit if you or a covered member of your family is hospitalized. Payments are made directly to you, not your healthcare provider, to help you pay for out-of-pocket costs, such as health insurance deductibles and copayments—or for anything that you see fit.

  • Since this policy isn’t health insurance, it doesn’t have to include most federal consumer protections that apply to health insurance.
